Below are two maps illustrating the locations of motor vehicles collisions involving pedestrians in the City of Greater Sudbury.
The first map is based on data provided by the Greater Sudbury Police in response to a Freedom of Information Request I submitted and paid for asking for the dates, times and locations of motor vehicle collisions involving pedestrians from 2009 to 2016.
The second map attempts to show every collision reported in the media (newspapers, television, twitter and other social media), colour-coded according to the severity of the injury.
Collisions with Pedestrians in Greater Sudbury (2009-2016)
The above map does not include many details about the collisions because only about one-third of pedestrian collisions is ever reported in the media. If you have any details about any of the collisions identified on this map, please get in touch so I can add that info. Confidentiality can be provided.
Pedestrian Collisions Reported in the Media
The above map is updated whenever I hear news of a pedestrian collision in Sudbury. If you are ever hit by a car or witness a collision please get in touch to share the details so I can add it to the map.
